Experiential archaeology and ancient ceramic techniques are an important tool for tracing and understanding human history from prehistoric times to the present day. Research in this field provides important information about the lifestyles, social structures and technological developments of ancient civilisations.

In particular, archaeologists and researchers use experimental archaeology methods to understand how ancient artefacts were constructed. This method tries to understand the materials, tools and techniques used by the people of that period by reproducing ancient ceramic techniques. One of the most remarkable ancient techniques is ceramic production. Especially the ancient ceramics of the island of Cyprus carry important clues about the way of life and cultural structure of that period. These ceramics are usually made of natural clay and pigment materials and made durable by firing. In addition to ancient ceramic production and ancient construction techniques, alternative natural slip materials are also being developed in experimental archaeological studies. In particular, the lining material called Terra Sigillata is a modern interpretation of the polished ceramics commonly used in antiquity. Experimental archaeological studies on ancient construction techniques and ceramic production help to preserve historical and cultural heritage by carrying the traces of the past to the present. These studies are very important in order to increase the knowledge of those interested in the field of archaeology and to contribute to the preservation of historical artefacts.
